I found a wandering man in the park
with a tattered grey jacket
and eyes glazed over
His smile held the weight of the world
every moment spent fishing with dad,
every annual trip to the lake house,
every laugh line - the happiest days of his life
I sat next to him on a wooden bench
next to the leaves
in complete silence
ponderance
loneliness
"Who are you?"
he asked
"Dad, let's go home."
